Interview with an illustrator who participated in the uterus tour

Q:Can you tell us a little bit about what you’re currently doing?

My undergraduate major is environmental art, and my graduate major is illustration and vision, and then my graduation topic is actually related to feminism, after all, I finished my graduation with a witch theme, and I am now working, doing variety show post-production, and then my job has just left, and I am changing jobs now.

My main direction and interest is feminist research, and I have done similar topics on genderlessness before, and my main research direction is the intimate relationship between women’s themes and these personal thoughts.

Q: Why did you choose this topic?

I think it has something to do with my painting style, my personal creation actually involves less men, I will be more interested in women’s body expression, and then I actually don’t have a particularly deep understanding of feminism before going abroad, and I am not so interested, at that time I may be more interested in psychological topics such as personal mentalism, after studying abroad, there will be a transformation of ideology, just like I used to have such a sensitive feeling about some women’s issues in society. In the past two years, the topic of women has become more and more popular, and women have a unified sense of resistance, and I have gradually understood this, so I have started to do research in this area.

Q: Do you know anything about Nüshu?

I feel that it is quite close to her story, we have understood such a concept before, which is history. This is a description of one of his stories, that is, the subject is a man, there is a lack of a story in history, that is, a story about her, and all the things that are recorded in history are actually conveyed by men.

At the same time, I am also curious about other countries where women are not in the spotlight, such as Japan Korea, their feminism has developed more slowly, of course, Japan are representative figures, but in other countries, has the same form of writing been produced at other times?

Q: What kind of concept does it seem like feminism or feminism to you?

The feminism in my mind is girls help girls, and the other concepts may be too big. Why is there no masculinism in the world, because men don’t need such an ism, and when there is really no concept of feminism, it will be equality in the true sense.

Q:And then what would you like to do with Nüshu if you were an illustrator?

If I express it in my own work, I might actually make it something similar to a tattoo, and use illustration to make something closer to a symbol, or I will pay more attention to its concept, I will want to understand what he wants to convey at the time, and then use his basic concept to make my own illustration picture concept.
